Arte Sacra Atelier

Arte Sacra Atelier is the project of Francesco Antonio Perdonà, from Northern Italy.

He is a poet and- after many years- he decided to use the music as the medium to veiculate his words.

He did music in different bands in Italy as “Aurora” (70’s) “I Discendenti” (80’s) and now the idea is to work about the noise possibilities, destructuring most as possible the idea to write a song.

He is living and working in San Antonio, Texas, right now and he records all the stuff in his own studio.

As new brand, already 3 albums are out and now he’s recording new tracks to let out the number 4; as the same time he’s recording on a new idea about “Corpo Umano”, the side band with the collaboration of Ebo- Italian sound engineer and noise maker- for the second release.

The roots of the lyrics are in the Western tradition, as Greek Tragedies, Italian Medieval Poets, Ezra Pound, the Bible, in the pop world.

Actually, another important collaboration is with the Ear Bleeding Production crow, Finger Painted Death andAmphitrite:the collaboration happens through email but sounds great. Other collaborations: live shows in Austin and San Antonio, Texas, with harsh noise bands as Breakdancing Ronald Reagan,Fox Island,Kley.

He has collaborated with Nadir Pesenti, Fabreeze and The Sviluppina, The Death Sound, Amphitrite, Finger Painted Death, Andrea Van Cleef, Franza.

It’s difficoult to tell about his job, because to create is “the real job”; I just can say how has been so important to be in the middle of punk revolution because we understood how was great not only to listen music but to make it: that’s all.

Music is like books, or paintings or sculptures: you have to do the best you can and- in the same time- to listen, to read the most is possible.

Noise helps me to use the “colours” for the paints I want to create.

Noise is the form of the new century.

Noise is the new idea of the Gregorian Chants.
